About the Speaker

Ray is a chartered Civil Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution. He has been involved in the field of temporary works for nearly 35 years, having worked for major contractors in the UK and Southern Africa and a specialist UK subcontractor. For the last 14 years Ray has run his own temporary works consultancy, offering specialist technical advice, temporary works design, procedural control, site auditing and training. Since 2016 he has been on the British Standards committee responsible for revising BS5975. On occasion Ray also advise the UK Health and Safety Authority on temporary works issues
