Design guides for Scaffold to AS codes

Can you suggest some literature or design guides to design scaffold structures to AS codes? Scaffolding is something that is done badly and not well understood in my industry i.e. resource.

The problem with scaffold is that in order to design it properly, you are doing a very advanced analysis. I'm self taught, in-so-far as I have tested scaffold systems and then altered the design software input to mimic the behavior of the scaffold. 

To answer your question, I have never come across any design guides for scaffold design at an advanced engineering level.
